Dr. Stephanie Tong, OD

Dr. Tong is an optometrist who addresses a broad range of eye concerns, from eyewear, to eye infections, to problems inside the eyes. She graduated from Rutgers University where she received her bachelor’s degree in Biomathematics. She continued her education at the State College of New York College of Optometry and received her doctorate degree. Previous to her career as an Optometrist, she has worked in a variety of research laboratories: synthetic organic chemistry, plant genetics exploring apoptosis, and signaling in mesenchymal stem cell migration. Dr. Tong uses all the tools available at Provision to be a caring and attentive patient advocate, committed to providing friendly, personalized, and state-of-the-art eye care. She’s a passionate optometric physician who sees eye care as an art that requires individualized attention and customized care.
Dr. Naomi Schwartz, OD
Doctor of Optometry
Dr. Naomi Schwartz is a graduate of SUNY College of Optometry. At Provision, she is delighted to give patients the highest standard of care, not only in prescribing glasses and contact lenses, but in evaluating the health of the eyes, as well as their relation to the body’s overall health.
Dr. Schwartz has wanted to be an eye doctor ever since she was in the second grade and could not see the blackboard. Every time the teacher asked her a question that was written on the board, Naomi would have to walk to the board and would only then see the question and answer it. Unfortunately, her teacher never told her that she needed glasses. Having experienced the frustration of not being able to see well, she decided that she wanted to help others with their vision and thus restore the quality of life that is associated with decreased vision.
Dr. Schwartz’s main area of clinical interest and expertise is in vision therapy. Helping children and adults who are experiencing eye strain as a result of increased computer use and near vision demands is particularly rewarding to her.
